We tested the Cressi Zeus mask at Alexander Springs Recreation Area in Central Florida.

We evaluated it for the ease and security of making strap adjustments and the overall comfort of the mask in the water. We also rated it for its field of view, how effectively its seal kept our faces dry, and how easy it was to clear and equalize.

The fog stop system of the Zeus has a soft, rolled-edge membrane of thin silicone along both sides of the nose pocket to divert exhaled moisture away from the lenses. That helped it earn tying top score in its category for fog-free operation.

The matte-finish Zeus has a big of spearfishing feel to it, with a relatively short skirt edge and a very small internal volume.

It was rated good overall for comfort and dryness, though some testers found the skirt a bit stiff and leaky, particularly at the brow. But the close fit paid off when it came to field of view and especially ease of clearing, where the small volume and simple skirt made it a snap to clear even when flooded.

“Super easy to clear down to the last drop,” one tester noted. That earned the Zeus the only excellent score among dual-lens masks for ease of clearing and equalizing.
