Depth-rated to 300 feet, Ikelite’s DS161 movie substrobe is compatible with all Ikelite TTL systems and current digital cameras, as well as all older TTL film cameras, including the Nikonos system. When used as a strobe, the DS161 provides a slightly warm color temperature for macro shots, portraits and landscapes. It is adjustable in 10 half-stop increments and offers a 90-degree angle of coverage or 100 degrees with a diffuser. Recycle time is 1.5 seconds from full power, and it delivers 225 flashes per full charge. When used as a movie light, the DS161 employs three LEDs to provide a 45-degree angle of coverage free of hot spots. With 10 power settings that adjust from 100 percent to 50 percent power, the movie light can double as an aiming light for focusing or night diving. Burn Time is five hours at maximum intensity. The DS161 comes standard with rechargeable NiMH battery pack and flash diffuser. The NiMH battery pack requires a Smart Charger, which is not included. A variety of strobe mounts and arms are available for attachment to almost any system.
