The site is located offshore of Kona in thousands of feet of open water. Divers are suspended from a 60-foot long tether, while taking part in the largest drift migration in the world. Larval fish, box jellies, iridescent ctenophores, squid, pelagic seahorses and translucent chains of tunicates ride the Pacific current. Small critters hitch rides on larger critters, while dolphin follow close behind hunting squid and hoping for a quick bite. The only light seen comes from divers, illuminating the glowing creatures below with their dive lights.
