Depth-rated to 130 feet, with a 160-foot range, this wireless underwater communicator can be used with most second stage regs. We felt it offered clarity and quality similar to traditional underwater coms. Audio can be recorded and downloaded. The mouthpiece and rigid bite tabs take some getting used to, but overall the system is a simple, effective solution for divers who need a communication system but don’t want the added complexity and expense of a full-face mask.

Users can reframe their footage after the fact using any angle for traditionally formatted video clips—including drone-like third-person views of themselves—or edit and post their videos in full 360 for a truly immersive experience. We really liked how effortlessly the dual lenses capture all the action, even on shark dives where photo-worthy flybys may be happening just behind the diver. Waterproof to 330 feet, this ring light provides soft, balanced lighting that is perfect for macro subjects. It mounts directly to any 67mm threaded port, making it compatible with everything from an underwater smartphone housing to a DSLR. Suitable for photography and video, the light outputs 2,400 lumens of constant power and can be fired in 3,000-lumen bursts via a fiber-optic trigger. The three-button operation is intuitive and provides access to multiple brightness, color and emergency settings. The compartment for the rechargeable, replaceable battery is large enough to act as a handle. Between that and the lens-mounted design, it can eliminate the need for a camera tray when using smaller systems.
