Video: Moving the 1,100-lb. Guardian of the Reef Statue

How do you get an 1,100-pound bronze statue underwater? Very carefully. Check out the time-lapse video of how Divetech owners Jay and Nancy Easterbrook moved the Guardian of the Reef statue onto a flatbed trailer to its final spot — on the sand bottom in 65 feet of water off Lighthouse Point. Scuba Diving was there every step of the way. In this video, watch how the statue was trucked to George Town Harbour. Guardian of the Reef was sculpted by Simon Morris.
